TeacherTeacher Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 25, 2026. This policy covers TeacherTeacher Cam (the Windows program) and the website teacherteacher.xyz. It is part of our Terms of Use.

1. Who we are

TeacherTeacher LLC, a New Mexico limited liability company (Business ID 0008138074), 1209 Mountain Road Pl NE, Ste R #13550, Albuquerque, NM 87110, USA, info@teacherteacher.xyz ("we", "us"), is responsible for the personal information described here.

2. Your saved files stay on your computer

TeacherTeacher does not intentionally upload or store copies of your local props, backgrounds, snapshots, recordings or saved settings. Some optional features and third-party components may process information as described in this policy. Cancelling or allowing a subscription to expire does not itself delete your local files. Paid features may stop working when the paid term ends.

3. What TeacherTeacher Cam does and does not do

3.1 The Cam has no code of its own that sends your picture, sound, props, recordings or typed text to us or to anyone else. Your camera picture goes only to the class app you choose on your own computer.

3.2 The Cam opens a web page or your email program only when you click a link: our feedback form and waitlist (Google Forms, under Google's terms), our website pages, and Microsoft's page for a software component.

3.3 The installer (and, if needed, the first start) may download Microsoft's Visual C++ runtime from Microsoft when your computer does not already have it. Microsoft's own terms and privacy notice apply to that download.

3.4 The Cam keeps these files on your computer: the pictures, snapshots and recordings you make or add; your settings and saved looks; a plain-text log of what the program does (state changes, timings, the names of your camera, microphones and class apps; no pictures, no sound, no typed text), one file per day, the last 14 days kept, which you may send us if you ask for help; and, where applicable, your licence information. If you move or synchronize these folders with a cloud service, that service handles them under its own terms.

3.5 The Report and Sentence Generator and the Studio (Prop Maker, Background Maker, Emoji Maker) inside the Cam work on your computer.

3.6 When licence checks are introduced, the Cam will send our licence service your licence key, a random identifier of the installation (not a hardware fingerprint) and the program version, to confirm your plan. We will update this policy before that starts.

4. What we receive

(a) Purchases. Payments are handled by the payment provider named at checkout, which collects your payment details under its own terms and privacy notice; we never receive your full card details. The provider shares with us what we need to provide and support your plan: your name and email address, your country, what you bought, the price, tax and dates, and the subscription status. Earlier one-off purchases on our website (for example sentence-bank packages) are paid through PayPal under its own terms; we receive your email address and the PayPal receipt to deliver your purchase.

(b) Website accounts. If you create a TeacherTeacher account on our website, your email address and password are handled by our account provider (Supabase), and the sentences you choose to save in "My Sentence Bank" are stored with your account.

(c) Support and feedback. What you choose to send us: messages, feedback (through Google Forms, under Google's terms), a camera log or a picture. Theme suggestions are used only to decide what we may add.

(d) Website visits. A privacy-friendly page counter (GoatCounter) records page visits without advertising cookies and without tracking you across other websites. Some free tools and games keep your own settings and scores in your browser's storage on your device; they are not sent to us.

(e) Abuse prevention. If we close an account or refuse a trial, sign-up or purchase because of suspected misuse or repeated sign-ups, we keep a short record (email address, computer registration, a reference to the payment method from our reseller, the date and the reason) for 3 years.

5. Why we use it, and on what basis

To provide, secure and support the Cam and the website; to take payment (through our payment provider) and keep the records the law requires; to answer you; to improve our products; and, where you opt in, to send marketing. Where the law requires a legal basis (for example in the European Union, the United Kingdom and similar places), we rely on performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and securing our products and preventing fraud and abuse, our legal obligations, and your consent for marketing and optional features.

6. Sharing

We share information with service providers that help us run our products (our payment providers, our account provider Supabase, website hosting, email and support tools), under terms that limit their use; with professional advisers; with authorities when the law requires; and in a sale or reorganization of the business. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7. International transfers

We are a United States company and run our business from the Philippines; our providers may be in other countries. Where the law requires, we use approved safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for transfers of personal information from the European Union, the United Kingdom and similar places.

8. How long we keep it

Purchase and account records for as long as you have a plan or an account and then for 7 years for tax and legal reasons; support messages for 2 years; logs you send us until we have solved the issue and for no more than 12 months. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for access to, correction, deletion or a copy of your personal information, to object to or limit its use, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a regulator. Write to info@teacherteacher.xyz. We will respond within the time the law sets, and we do not discriminate against you for using these rights.

California residents: in the last 12 months we collected identifiers (such as your email address), commercial information (your purchases) and limited internet activity (page counts without cookies), for the purposes in section 5. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.

10. Children

TeacherTeacher Cam is for adult teachers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The Cam may show a child's image on a teacher's screen as part of a class; the Cam does not send it to us. The teacher is responsible for school rules and consents. Our free classroom games are played on the device and do not ask children for personal information. If you think a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee security. Tell us at info@teacherteacher.xyz if you find a problem.

12. Third-party components

TeacherTeacher Cam includes third-party software components, for example for picture processing. Their licences and notices are listed in the program. Microsoft's components may collect usage data under Microsoft's own terms.

13. Changes

We will post the date of any change here and tell you of material changes, including before licence checks and accounts in the Cam are introduced.
